That's what I've heard. Not sure for 200% but pretty reliable.

I am glad there appears to have a 4 good canadates.  I have heard in the past, this wasn't the case.

I would give my endorsement to Perrin. I like the idea of having an Alumni, passionate about the program, knows and is respected in the community, young up and coming and energetic. He seems to have the building blocks and knowledge of being a successful Head Coach. 

This would also be a change in direction from their past hires. Which isn't a bad thing.

Scott seems to want to get this thing done quickly.  Good for them.  I wonder if any of those 4 coaches have applied for the other open NKY positions.  Makes things interesting.

I wasn't given those 2 names. Just that they were current HC's. I'm guessing to protect their identities, given the situations.

Not sure about that situation. I was only told 2 current HCs. No names or situations were discussed. Sorry about that.

I've heard a former successful HC at Purcell Marian and Cincinnati Aiken applied. The former coach of those programs didn't stick around long but won in his short time at both stops. Don't know why he didn't last at either stop for very long but the track record shows he takes over programs and wins.

Pflug has a reputation of getting solid showings out of his teams, but if I was interviewing him for the Scott job I feel like I'd definitely be a little hesitant about him just given his track record for moving around so readily.

Landmark Christian (now the Cincinnati Eagles) started playing football in 2013 as a team of homeschooled students. They play in the Great Lakes Christian Athletic Conference, which is an independent league made up primarily of similar homeschool teams around Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. Frankly speaking, the competition level in the GLCAC is low. Landmark typically picks up one or two not-so-great "regular" high school teams on their schedule each year and they can compete with some of them...this year they beat Clark Montessori, OH 15-14, but then they lost 36-15 to a very "mehh" Switzerland County, IN team.

He gave Aiken their first winning season in about a decade, which says a lot, and then since he left they've only had 2 winning seasons. CCP started their football program in 2010, and Coach Pflug's two winning seasons there were the first two in program history. Woodward is definitely a tough place to win football games, so his 5-6 season there really isn't bad either. He obviously did well at Purcell...took the Cavs to the 3rd round of the OHSAA D-V playoffs. I'm not sure what made him leave Purcell for an assistant coaching job at Lebanon.

Like I said, though, I'd be fearful that the Scott job would turn out to be another "let's try this job out for a while and then move on" type of stop for him.
