A delayed strike call by the home plate ump messed up what could have been a scoring inning for the Jays in the top of the second.  Late strike 2 call (on a pitch that should have been ball 4) led to confusion and Bo Bichette getting picked off at first.

Ohtani goes yard.   2 - 0 LA still in the bottom of 3.

Freddie Freeman thrown out at home to end the third, still 2 - 0 Dodgers.

Alejandro Kirk 3 run HR puts Toronto out in front, 3 - 2.  Still 1 out in the top of the 4th.

Andres Gimenez sac fly extends the Bluejays lead to 4 - 2 headed into the bottom of the 4th.

RBI hits by Ohtani and Freddy Freeman have tied it at 4 after 5.

Vlad Jr. scores from first on a Bichette single that takes a weird ricochet along the right field wall.  5 - 4 Jays into the bottom of the 7th.

Ohtani homers again and knots the game at 5.  1 out in the home 7th.

Throwing middle-middle to Ohtani was a choice.

5-5 bottom of 10.

That challenge at the plate disrupted the flow of the game for me.

Not that.  I was totally engaged in the game and it was a very exciting play.  He clearly was out, nothing at all wrong with the play from my inexperienced standpoint.  Just a great play in the World Series.  But then it was like hold on, there is a challenge...  It took the fun out of it for me.  But just in the moment, I am back in the saddle.

Dodgers win 6-5 and lead series 2-1.

Ohtani was 4-4 with 3 RBI and 2 HR along with 5 walks.

A game for the ages for a number of reasons.  But Ohtani reaching base in all nine plate appearances is crazy.  
 

It begs the question.  Will the Brewers pitch to him again during the series?

Don't expect any work from any Toronto residents today with the game ending at 3 a.m. EDT.  Longest World Series game in duration.  Tied for most innings in a World Series game.  Yeah, I stayed up.  I was kind of hoping to see what would happen if both teams started burning starters as relievers or using position players as pitchers.  It never came to that.
