I know UK and Stoops are ready to part ways but there are a lot of more appealing programs also looking for new coaches right now.

Wow. That was fast. I’d say his personality didn’t help him either. If he was smart he’d take his money and retire.

Will be interesting to see what LSU does after the season. I’m not surprised that Kelly was fired this early. As early as it is, surely someone will be there on an interim basis until they start trying to get whoever they do. Who do you all think LSU tries to get?

I think he will. He would be an absolute fool if he didn’t.

I haven’t been following who Penn State is considering or pursuing. Would they possibly go after him? Outside of them, I don’t see many going after him,.

Depends on what you're looking for as a coach. UK will offer very competitive pay and a fan base that will be happy with 7 or 8 wins a year. No pressure to win a conference or even to make the playoffs, just stay a game or so over .500 and you have job security for at least a decade. That would be awfully attractive to some coaches. 

Most of the top level open jobs are because those schools and fan bases expect to compete for conference titles and make deep playoff runs yearly. They are ready to move on quickly to the next coach if you don't hit their standards.

They paid Ed Ogeron 17 million to leave, Kelly 53 million? Maybe they need a different search committee lol. Guy in SC told me his new career goal was to be a fired college football head coach.
