I don't think BG can claim in any way to be the favorite. In fact, I think you would be hard-pressed to say that there is any way that Scott Co., Pulaski, Owensboro, BG, Woodford, or Cooper could claim that they are the favorite by any stretch. The lack of favorite-defining wins by all six is startling, which is why I took some objection to the indication that some "big 3" exist in the East that have shown themselves to be a tall mountain to climb. 

BG's best game is their 3-point loss to CAL, having played the Centurians closer than anyone else in the state. 
Owensboro's best game is beating an O Cath team that hangs its hat on beating BG.
Pulaski's best game is beating Corbin
Scott Co's best game is beating BG
Cooper's best game is beating Ryle
Woodford's best game is beating Scott Co. 

Beyond that, none of those teams has much to claim.

In terms of them winning another championship. They aren’t getting that far it seems so it’s irrelevant. They aren’t in the same tier as the top 5A teams is the point.

With the defense BG has I won’t count them out but this definitely isn’t your typical BG team we’re used to seeing since the early 2010’s. No slight to Greenwood but after this past week it wouldn’t surprise me to see BG out in the 2nd or 3rd round. At the same time the culture in BG is strong, I also wouldn’t be surprised to see them in State Championship. Who realistically is beating them in round 2 or 3 (especially round 2)? Apollo? I doubt that highly.  Atherton? Same.  It's all but certain those are going to be their two opponents.  

I feel like they'll be visiting either Woodford County (if Cooper beats Scott County and then plays Pulaski County in the region finals) or Pulaski County (if Cooper loses to Scott County) in the state semifinals.  Bowling Green at Woodford... that one I don't know who I'd pick.  Bowling Green at Pulaski, give me the Purples.

I’m going to make a prediction…. I think Apollo beats Bowling Green in the 2nd round. I don’t think Owensboro even sees Bowling Green at all in the playoffs.

Well it’s like this…. Apollo is better than Catholic. If Apollo’s QB1 plays in that game they win. Period. Catholic beat BG. 
 

Also want to point out I was 1 of 3 maybe that voted for Apollo vs Madisonville thread.

Sorry brother, having slobber knockers with Muhlenberg County and Graves isn’t going to let me entertain this. Atleast for now. Keep on keepin on though!
