It looked like to me the entire left side false started - however, I was half asleep and without my glasses on. I thought they moved early.

I thought the left side moved before the snap.  Just seemed it should not have come to that.  Spike the ball.

I totally agree, though. You've got to execute that 2 minute drill situation way better; Especially when you are such an experienced, veteran coach.

I watched again and freeze framed it. The first thing that happens on that last play is the center hikes the ball. That is the very first thing that happens. Once the center hikes the ball, the play starts. I don't think there is any penalty if the center hikes the ball and most of his team doesn't move. Once he hiked the ball, the WC players over center moved, then the left guard moved to try to block them, followed b the left tackle. But the center snapped the ball before any of that happened.

Good luck to whoever has to play either of these two teams in the playoffs. The passing attack of WC was virtually unstoppable last night and the receivers were athletes with speed. SC did what SC does, ran the ball VERY effectively, and once WC found the ball it’s too late! 
 

There’s not a defense in 5A that will be able to consistently stop either of these two offenses IMO. And if a team is lucky enough to slow them down, does that offense have enough juice to score enough. 
 

I will say WC is the leader in the clubhouse to bring the trophy after what I witnessed last night and SC is on the porch.

Exhausted watching that track meet.  Nearly 1,200 yards of total offense and 15 touchdowns.  Forgot to mention even a couple of tackles on a great goal line stand that sealed the victory for the Yellowjackets.   As much as I have loved watching Coach McKee’s offensive machine over the years, I do not think they will matchup well with Highlands next week.  But, that is for another thread.

McKee always finds a way to beat highlands. Although, there is a glaring weakness this year for Scott County and it’s their run defense. Could be a long day.

Thanks for the clarification VOR.  Could you look at one more play?  A backbreaker was late in the 4th and SC down 50-43 and driving.  They turn the ball over on downs when the line judge (?) spots the ball 3 inches short of 1st down.  Live it clearly looked like QB had stretched the ball well past the marker before his knees came down.  Can you opine on the spot?  Big turning point.

The QB had the first. His knee wasn’t down until he had already reached over the line to gain. If Scott County gets the correct call there, they very well may of won the game.

The spot they gave was where his knee went down they almost didn’t even account for the fact he had reached over. McKee and his players had every right to lose their cool after that play. As well as the “PI” on the previous drive that negated a great interception by Timmy Emongo which made tempers flare up eventually. Of course, this led to officials tacking on multiple unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

One thing I’ll say about Scott County is that every time a big game starts to slip this team gets dirty and mouthy. It’s been that way for years.
