Garrard gets a huge win over Bardstown. Bardstown kicked a field goal in the first overtime possession then Garrard scored on a quarterback carry around the right end to win it.

Every person in the stadium expected RJ Blair to get the carry and nobody expected Parsons to keep it. What a great play call for the win!

Tigers thought they could just show up and win the game. But got punched in the face! They had no fight to them until the second half but just could get the big stop when they needed it! The Tigers are a middle of the road team next week could get ugly for them as their old coach make his return to Bardstown.

Definitely wasn’t expecting this result. Huge win for the Golden Lions. 

No way to sugarcoat this one. Very bad loss.

I think it would be conservative to estimate Bardstown had over 150 yards in penalties, including a touchdown and several long runs called back. Special teams was also a factor, blocked punt for Garrard touchdown, bad snap/hold on extra points, kick return coverage pretty mid. For whatever reason, the offense was anemic, with receivers not getting open most of the night, and the defense, particularly the linebacking corps, not shedding blocks.

All of this does not bode well for Friday nights highly-anticipated matchup with LexCath. You hate to say a season really comes down to one game, but . . .

Tough men will put this one in File 13, strap it back up and go to work. Let’s see what Bardstown’s got.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a fake handoff be more effective there was literally no one on that side of the field but the quarterback. I believe I could’ve got in on that one.

Sorry @Hearsay for your loss, but I am really happy for my Garrard County friends who I count as family.  This was a great win for the Golden Lions and I’m thrilled for them.

Does this win secure a home playoff game for Garrard?  Assuming they beat Mercer of course.
