Bardstown 48 John Hardin 14
Final 48-14. Bardstown win pretty easily.

Bardstown 42 Elizabethtown 38
What an opening night game to start this year. Final was 42-38 Bardstown comes back and wins! I knew #0 Chi Poynter was pretty good on the court but he is gonna be a problem on the football field as well. Also #4 and #32 for Etown where punishing the Tigers that got in their way they where both finishing runs on top of piles. If Etown has their star wide out I think this game may end differently. The Panthers did not have a deep threat that could take the top off the Tiger defense. Bardstown defense showed up at the end of the game and gave their offense a chance, and they took the game right from under Etown. Once Etown is healthy they will be a problem because their running backs are legit! Bardstown is young as the season goes and those kids get reps the better the team will look.

Bardstown 42 Elizabethtown 38
I watch Bardstown at their first scrimmage and Etown on Friday. Bardstown struggled to stop the run against KCD and Etown looked like they wanted to pound the ball in their scrimmage on Friday. I could see Etown having their way running against Bardstown. At KCD Bardstown didn't have much success on offense running or throwing the ball does anyone know if it was in better against Woodford? Etown looked solid on defense Friday with lots of energy. If the Tigers did not find an identity this may be the start of a long season for the Tigers. Etown by 10

Lexington Catholic 27 Central 14
The knights have control of this game doing whatever they want. Unless Central’s band who just arrived can bring them some motivation this game is over!

Central 29 Bardstown 18
Final 29-18. The Tigers done what they have all year and waited until the second half to try and start playing ball. They just could not make the big play when it was needed. Central came out and stuck to their game plan and controlled the game. Prayers for the Tigers Qb Riley as he took a shot to the head late in the fourth quarter that looked like a late hit, that put him out of the game.

Central 29 Bardstown 18
Bardstown has never beat Central and I don't think this will be the year they do. For the exception of Nelson & Washington County Bardstown has taken too long to get started, they have to take a punch or two before they decide to play ball. They will not be able to do that this Friday. The Central program is built for the playoffs they will come out swinging looking for the early knock out. Central may just come out and bully Bardstown like Lex Cath and Owensboro Cath did earlier in the season, hopefully the Tigers have some want to about them Friday and make this game a true battle. In order to do that Bardstown has to find its run game with Hamilton that's been none existent for a few weeks because I believe Central will focus on stopping the Riley to Poynter connection that has been Bardstown bread and butter. Central just has to limit their mistakes and just do what they do.

Lexington Catholic 36 Bardstown 0
David Clark came back to Garnis Martin Field with a team that was flat out better than the Tigers at every aspect of the game. Lexington Catholic could’ve won by 60 points if Clark kept his foot on the game. Brady Wasik did whatever he wanted to the Tigers all night long. Lexington Catholic will have another easy game next week against Casey Co, before ending the year against Ashland another game I think they will win. If it wasn’t for the monster we all know as CAL I would say Lexington Catholic would be hosting a trophy at Kroger Field at the end of the year. Tiger fans don’t expect much more from this team, their bye this week couldn’t come at a better time. Maybe they can find some heart. They end the season with Washington Co a game that could be another loss for the Tigers if they keep playing the way they have these last two weeks thinking all they have to do is show up.

Garrard County 35 Bardstown 32 (OT)
Tigers thought they could just show up and win the game. But got punched in the face! They had no fight to them until the second half but just could get the big stop when they needed it! The Tigers are a middle of the road team next week could get ugly for them as their old coach make his return to Bardstown.

Owensboro Catholic 56 Bardstown 30
The Tigers ran into a good team and got humbled. Being athletic is only gonna get them so far, the must learn to be more disciplined. Hopefully it will be the reset the Tigers need. Unfortunately their next few opponents are sup par in my opinion. We will not know if the Tigers are any better until week 9 when Lexington Catholic comes down the Bluegrass with Coach David Clark returning to Garnis Martin Field.

Bardstown at Nelson County Predictions/Updates
I do want to put it out there that I believe the Tigers come out on top and if they do not come out flat it may be by 3 scores. Nelson is moving in the right direction with coach Boston, I just do not believe they have enough this year.

Bardstown at Nelson County Predictions/Updates
Who do you all think is favored in this game? Bardstown could easily be 1-2, if it wasn't for their special teams making big plays in their first two games a long with three bad snaps in the second game the Tigers would be 1-2. Now they did take a big step forward last week controlling John Hardin but are the Tigers the clear favorite? Nelson is undefeated but with wins over teams that just aren't very good. I will say that Nelson's new Coach Josh Boston has them looking real sharp and disciplined. They play hard and do not stop until the whistle, they have an edge to them that hasn't been at Nelson County in a while they are not gonna just let Bardstown come in and spoil their Homecoming. The town is buzzing that this is Nelson year to get some respect back. Tiger fans aren't as Prideful as years in the past to stop the buzzing.
