This is a big game for Ryle. As one of the things that helped out on their state run last year, was being ranked 2nd in the RPI heading into the playoffs, which helped them avoid the other top teams in 6A after they knocked off St. X in round two.

If Ryle loses this one, they will only have one really good high ranked win on their schedule this year and that was the win over CovCath. They should still have a good RPI, based on their schedule being tough. However, last year they had a few good wins on it, this year if they lose this one, they will only have one. As last year they had wins over CovCath, Highlands, and Cal on their resume to help get them ranked #2.

I still think Ryle is probably a top 3 team in 6A when fully healthy, and can get back to the title game. However, their path of getting back to the State title game will be very tough compared to last year if they don't win this game.

Huge RPI game. Tough breaks on injuries but Ryle won't feel sorry for themselves. Both teams will play hard. Great game in store.

Let’s clarify something here.  The problem wasn’t running pass plays versus run plays.  The biggest issue is the design of the plays and complete dismissal of a short passing game that is not a screen

    Tough one to pick.

No doubt! Should be a fun one! We have been pretty blessed with some great matchups so far this year in NKY!

No way Ryle loses 3 in a row, right? I know they're banged up, any chance of getting their WR/DB(Lee?) or DE(Gay?)back this week?

Heard WR/DB Lyons had a hamstring issue and could be ruled out as well?

We are 30 so hours away from kickoff and the biggest story in regards to this game is the fact that the "pollsters" currently have the 2-2 Ryle Raiders (losers of the last 2 games) up 38-32 against a Highlands team who is a botched extra point away from being tied 21-21 to Boyle at the end of regulation...  Will there be a end of the week surge that will put the Birds on top of the poll or are we that down in the dumps from the trip to Boyle?

I suppose the kicking woes have 32 voters doubting the Birds. It’s not a pattern yet by any means, I’m still taking the Birds. They have a huge oline, just run the ball all night and they’ll be fine.

Birds by 10.

The poll is currently 39-36, Ryle.

From everything I’m hearing Lee is a go for the Raiders tomorrow night, that will be huge for the Raiders.

Love it, I want to see Lee on the field.

Run?  Are we talking run the ball? Run the ball?  Does this version of Bluebirds have run the ball in their playbook?  Threw it 32 times against Boyle and only completed 11.  Run the ball!!!!!

What are the kicking woes.  First game no doubt, other two?

I would think that Lee will be "clubbed up" with a protective cast if he plays. I assumed that he and Bo Gay would both be out til district play. Not sure on Gavin Lyons but I don't think he finished the CAL game. All 3 are excellent players.

Mishandled snap after the first touchdown for Highlands, kept the Boyle Co game from going into overtime. If you’ll note I’ve picked Highlands for each game except Freddy D based on the size of their o-line alone.

I’m an old school Tom Osborne admirer (minus the character of some of the players he recruited) on the offense side of the ball.
