Mishandled snap after the first touchdown for Highlands, kept the Boyle Co game from going into overtime. If you’ll note I’ve picked Highlands for each game except Freddy D based on the size of their o-line alone.

A mishandled snap is not on the kicker is what I am referencing.  Actually thought the kid was pretty solid last week on PAT and kickoffs.

    Tough one to pick.

  • This is a big game for Ryle. As one of the things that helped out on their state run last year, was being ranked 2nd in the RPI heading into the playoffs, which helped them avoid the other top teams i

My fault, I should’ve clarified to just the extra points. But still I would not be sweating it. Birds are in good shape, use the size up front and wear the other team down.

I'll take Highlands. I look to see them cook with the recipe they used against Cooper. They will need to make a few plays through the air but no way they look to throw the ball 30+ times again. They shouldn't even eclipse 20. 30+ throws in a loss again then they may tear the Fort down. Highlands 22-20.

Let’s clarify something here.  The problem wasn’t running pass plays versus run plays.  The biggest issue is the design of the plays and complete dismissal of a short passing game that is not a screen to running back or bubble screen to outside.  If it is third and 10, you don’t run go routes and just throw the ball in the neighborhood.  How about several intermediate routes and find the open receiver?  Move the chains and keep the drive alive.  All of this falls squarely on the person calling and designing the plays in my book.

Going to be a big one at the Fort.  I think this game shows more about who Ryle truly is.

I realize this is just us old guys (and ladies) having some fun but I fully expect Ryle's best effort tonight.

The slate of games tonight is off the hook good!

Touchdown Highlands, they pretty much ran right at Ryle and went right down the field.

7-0 Birds.
