I think Major League Baseball's All Star game is the best and most entertaining all star game and it isn't even close. 

Last night's game was so fun to watch. Live mics, strike challenges, HR swing off to break the tie. I loved it all.

What did you think about the game and the innovations?

I didn't even turn it on.  I watched The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. 

I think you can easily argue MLB's All-Star festivities are the best in professional sports, and I'm not a "baseball guy."

Just hated HR Derby.  It may have run its’ course with me.  Camera vantage point behind the pitcher and then switch to see last 50’ as it enters the stands left me wanting.  The flight of the ball and anticipation of its’ destination cannot be experienced from that camera angle.

It's the best because it is the most like a real game.  The NBA all-star game is a joke and the pro-bowl is no longer a real thing.

Last seasons WNBA all-star game was great but that was because it was all-stars vs the Olympic team, so both sides were playing to win.  We'll see what this season's holds.

There was a whole other broadcast on ESPN 2 that had all the best camera angles.

I wouldn't have found it unless somebody told me about it. I don't think they made it widely known. Maybe to protect the ratings on the "main" broadcast?

Speaking of that, I really enjoy some of the "ALT" broadcasts of football games.  Often times the view is elevated behind the offense and you hear the sounds of the game and not any talking heads.

Same. I've watched many of the big bowl games in one of the alternative views.

Probably NOT "The Simpsons" alternative for me.

The MLB All-Star game is great. So glad they went back to their team uniforms this year. Rating-wise, it blows the other Pro Sports out of the water. 7.2 million average viewers compared to about 4.7 million for the NBA and NFL this year. I liked the swing-off to end the game as well. Gave the PK vibes in a big soccer/futbol game.

The anomaly is strong in this one. 

Hockey's all-star festivities this past year were pretty incredible with the 4 nations tourney. I'm not a hockey or baseball guy, but I was glued to the 4 nations.
