I know nothing, but I am suspecting that there would be minimal cooperation from Cooper’s principal to accommodate Sully teaching at Cooper and coaching at St. Henry.  Talking about scheduling classes, extra-curricular obligations, planning periods, etc.  Not exactly the easiest after school commute, not even considering bus traffic.  Suspect going to be less toxic with a clean break for everyone.

I do take it as a sign that this has to be close to being announced now that Trevor Gould has been named Bellevue girls coach. You would think that a former varsity head coach currently on staff would have been at least a consideration in the hiring process. Him moving on says maybe they know what is about to happen and just haven’t announced.

Not a super hard commute either, though. It's only about 10 miles, which even with traffic would probably be no more than 30 minutes on a bad day. There aren't really any public school options that would offer a better commute outside of maybe Lloyd or Dixie.

How about commuting from Scott High School?

It might be a mile less to commute from Scott than it is from Cooper. Mapquest says 9.4 miles. Cooper is 9.7. Traffic may be a little worse coming from Cooper. I would think that where his kids end up going to school would play a role in where he might end up teaching.

Am I missing something, is the Scott job open?  Does anyone know if Sully is Catholic?  Or, does Sully have his 27 years in the public teachers’ retirement system?

Scott isn't open. Sullivan's wife is an art teacher there and the Head Volleyball coach...I assume that's why Scott keeps popping up in this thread.

I think its only popping up as a teaching position place nothing to do with coaching.  I have no clue what he teaches and have no idea if Scott has that opening.

I guess number one being, he has to get the St. Henry Job (I've not seen an official announcement), then there has to be an opening at Scott, he has to apply (meaning he wants to actually do this), then he has to be selected for an interview, then the hiring committee has to like him, then the principal has to be on board with one of his teachers coaching a varsity sport at a different school, then the job has to be offered, and then he has to accept it.

I think a few of those would be no problem at all, but the biggest non-problem would probably be the principal being on board with him coaching elsewhere. Business teachers aren't exactly beating down the doors these days, so when you find one with experience, you hire them. 

I do agree, a lot has to fall in place for it to happen, though.
