Who is #1???

Huntington may be ranked #1 by next week, as the first game at Duke on Tuesday featured #1 St. Ben's out of NJ who were defeated by #4 St. Pat's of NJ. It will be a great game on Feb 22nd as St. Pat's plays at Huntington so #1 Vs #2. Either way St. Pats and Huntington will be 1 and 2 this coming week.

 

If Scott Co. plays there game and all players bring their A game they can keep it close, if it's close anything can happen. But I see Huntington losing by 10 if everyone for Scott Co. are playing their A game.

I guess they will also be selling reserved seats at the gate tomorrow?

Scott Co should make lots of bucks on this game. Huntington is playing SC home and home with no money changing hands between teams. I was told Lex Cath had to pay Huntington several thousand dollars to play here.

A high school hoops magazine had Scott County ranked I believe as the #46 best team in the nation... what do you think about that? Have there ever been teams from Kentucky that have been a true national contender?

 

By the way, any team has a "chance" to win if they step out on the floor... that is why they play the game.

lex cath was ranked #3 in 98. Scott Co was ranked #6 in 99.

Wasn't Mason Co ranked at one time in the nation? I know it wan't that high and not for very long.

I believe Ballard with Chiles, Bender, and Wilkinson had a high rating.

 

Tickets for the chairback seats are likely sold out. You would have to get there pretty early to have a chance at the reserved seats, if there are any left. They have been pre-selling tickets in Georgetown and Lexington for some time.

Scott County has a chance. HHS has to be getting worn out being a travelling circus and Billy Hicks will have his kids ready to go. Lafayette beat #1 Marion Indiana in the 80s in this type of game. Also Minnifield's Lafayette team was #2 in the nation I believe. They gave Sam Bowie's team a good whipping.

lex cath was ranked #3 in 98. Scott Co was ranked #6 in 99.

 

 

Lex Cath also finished ranked in the top 10 I think in '02 when they won state. Their two losses were to traditional powerhouse Dematha high school by 1 and West Jessamine by 1.
