I am curious on this one. Anderson has been pretty good but not "historically" a powerhouse. Good luck but he would be on the same unit as D1 UofL commit Merz, so that would be quite the formidable o-line.

I would suspect from what I heard that this is a case where the family thinks he will get more college exposure on the recruiting trail by playing in Ohio but you are right, there is a tremendous amount of College Exposure with the program at the moment between Merz, Lorenzon, the Benke Boys and several others. I just saw that the Benke's pulled in their second D1 offer from EKU and I would expect this trend continues. The Birds are loaded with D1 talent and the connections on the college circuit run deep so I would imagine there will be a lot of College Coaches visiting Fort Thomas on Friday Nights for the foreseeable future. I read somewhere that he did pull his first offer from Glenville State so hopefully everything works out for the young man.

I'm confused on this one as well. In his position I don't feel like Anderson is an upgrade over Highlands for recruiting or chasing a state title. Tons of college exposure. For some other kids in NKY that transfered to Anderson and some other Ohio schools I can't knock them for it. But this one is kind of wierd.

Anderson has several D1 athletes. 

From what I have been told the family shopped at Beechwood like 2 years ago and Ryle last year, but stayed put.  This year they pulled the trigger and moved over to Anderson.

If Haretuku is 6’-3” then Howard is 6’-5”. I have seen both around town.  I’m thinking Haretuku is more like 6’-2”. Good luck to this young man.

You have not followed Anderson. They have been a power in Cincinnati since the early 90s. Any time they played a team from KY they have smoked them. They will open against Cooper so we will see.

I've definitely followed them. Coached youth football in Cinci for 10 years. I wouldn't say that they have been a power house since the 90's. Definitely have had some good years though and have had alot of success recently. I know they have played some KY teams that Highlands wouldn't waste the time putting them on their schedule. I will take Anderson over Cooper this year and I love the match up.

Anderson may have been competitive in the 90's but they were not a power. I know how insanely difficult it was to make the playoffs in Ohio back then, but to say a powerhouse is a stretch in  my opinion. Now I did talk to my buddy who said Anderson will have around 50 D1 coaches at their practices, take that for what it's worth.

Highlands is in Alabama playing in a 7 on 7 tournament.
