Surely you don’t want to lose to Bowling Green for the 3rd time in a state title game in as many trips.  Cooper is probably thinking why do we got to keep playing BG in the state title game.  Why coul

  • Neither team has posted their stats for the most recent game, but through the first 13:   BG - Deuce Bailey (185/279, 2978 yards, 45 TDs, 8 INTs - 50 rushes for 338 yards, 2 TDs) Cooper -

  • Poor lil ol BG just gonna try and than in there. Pray for the underdog Purples, cause they sure haven't seen anything like Cooper...

My sentiments exactly G!

I'm glad they still have to play the game!

Courier Journal had a few guys predicting Purples to get blown out. This poll is as lopsided as I can remember a defending state champion Bowling Green team being on the wrong end of. For context, BGP voted Cooper to beat Highlands last Friday 82-51, so this is on pace to be worse. It's only Thursday.

I would be shocked if this game was a blowout either way.

Last year everyone:

From the above link, last year it was 78-60, Bowling Green, and the 78 were right.

If Boyle County can lose then anyone can lose. Definitely why play the games rather than mail trophies.

Not a whole lot more to be said that hasn't already been said.

Two great teams with the same goal.  Going to be a really good game to end the 2024 KHSAA Football Season.

Below are two entries, I thought were worthwhile:

1.  This is another GREAT article from BG Daily News' Michael Compton previewing the game from the Purples side of things:

2.  Just some great shots of practice this week getting ready for the game.  Everyone starts in the heat in July, but you hope to finish in the snow!

Go Purples!

Exactly. What's the old saying......."tradition never graduates". As an old red and white Tiger you know that!!

Good luck tonight Jaguars.  Hoping that NKY has 3 trophies by tomorrow!

Going to be fun watching this one unfold. I'm excited to see how Bowling Green decides to defend Cooper's high powered offense but I'm also looking forward to seeing how Cooper's tall corners matchup to the speed of Bowling Green's receivers.

Good luck to both teams and hopefully everyone stays healthy and both teams play a clean game!
