I’m a little surprised by this game I thought LM was a better team but I guess that’s why they play the games.

This is now the 2nd straight year that Lloyd has lost to a northeast Kentucky team in district 6. Congrats to Russell on the comeback win!

The way this one started I thought Lloyd might run away with it. Was that 27 unanswered after being down 21-0?

Congratulations to Russell on advancing. This is a heartbreaker for Lloyd. I figured this would be very close and a tough game to call.

Lloyd ran out of gas. Lloyd's starters barely played in the 2nd half of all but 2 games the whole year and I would have to say that really came back to haunt them tonight. They were really lagging as a team the whole 2nd half. It was a miracle Sebastian played the way he did with his injury and being out of games and practices the last couple weeks. He was still pretty dominant on one leg. I was told he wasn't even supposed to play tonight going into Thursday this week. I want to say Lloyd may have rushed the ball 2 times in the 2nd half. I know they have to be upset they are not playing in the semi's but they should keep their heads held up high they definitely left it all on the field this year. I know they were pretty banged up also. I think they have like 6-7 seniors so they should be reloading pretty good for next season.

Russell's freshman running back number #28 has a whole lot of carries coming the remainder of this year and the next 3 years. Very stout kid, he was also running behind 5 senior offensive lineman and those lineman played a hell of a full football game.

Was suprised Lloyd went for a field goal late in the 2nd half inside Russell's 20 yard line on like 4th and 6. Heard Lloyd passed on some field goal opportunities in the Lex Cath game that could of made the difference so that could have been in the back of their minds. Russell came up with a huge block. Missed PAT towards the end of the first half by Lloyd proved to be the turning point in the game as Russell scored 21 straight.

Was impressed with Russell's QB play. #1 played his tail off and was on point pretty much all night. He made a lot of precise throws and his receivers consistently came up with big catches.

Really surprised how effective Russell's deep passing game was at the end of the 2nd quarter and the beginning of the 3rd quarter. It really put a huge spark in the whole team. You could tell playing both ways took a big toll on Sebastian and E. Collins especially with them both battling injuries they were drastically a few steps slower by the end of the 2nd quarter, suprised they were able to play as well as they did for as long as they did with the amount of snaps they played with lower body injuries. that's two DB's who have played elite ball on defense all year long. Copeland played his heart out but you could tell by the end of the 2nd quarter that the dependence on him to be a force on both sides of the ball really took a huge toll on his endurance. That senior class should be proud of the amount of games they won during their tenure with the Juggs and the standard they set for the underclassmen. The next couple years their goal will be state semi's or bust, especially with another district realignment coming.

The story of that senior class has been told many times this year, just not in here. They won one game combined their last two years of middle school. There's only eight of them left, but the one's that have stuck it out are reaping the benefit of the struggle they've endured and the bond that was born of it. There are no standout individuals on that o-line, but they work well together. They're the heartbeat of this team.
