Barren County Trojans (6-0) | North Hardin Trojans (4-2)

? The Trojan War: Mythology Meets Gridiron Reality

• Barren County is off to its best start in over 30 years, minimum. John Myers has hit the ground running - literally - with the Trojans behind a stout ground game. The defense has also been a strength outside of one hiccup against Dane Parsley and high octane Warren East.
• Creating a contrast of styles, North Hardin has gone full air raid with a dual quarterback system, evenly splitting reps and production. The Trojans of Radcliff feature one of the state's premier WRs in Ronald Lunz, with offers from UK and Miami (OH).
• Schedule strength is a no contest in favor of North Hardin. Barren's resumé can't compete with CAL, Corbin, and Bullitt East.

Barren County ??
Metcalfe County 54-14 (W)
Trigg County 30-6 (W)
Warren East 60-52 (W)
Monroe County 21-15 (W)
Glasgow 23-7 (W)
Green County 21-6 (W)

North Hardin ??
Southwestern 14-0 (W)
Corbin 52-25 (L)
CAL 49-0 (L)
Daviess County 35-6 (W)
PRP 38-14 (W)
Bullitt East 26-14 (W)

Series History ?: North Hardin leads 7-0 on the field since the turn of the century | Last year's 29-14 NH win was later ruled a forfeit for use of an ineligible player | That was also the smallest margin between the two over those seven games

North Hardin has undoubtedly played the harder schedule. North Hardin has used 4 receiver and 2 quarterbacks to amass 1424 receiving yards on their way to a 4-2 record.

Barren County has used a bevy of back to carry the ball and have racked up 1633 team rushing yards on their way to a 6-0 record.

So what gives? I think that Barren County DBs will struggle to slow down the North Hardin passing game

My Prediction: North Hardin 35 Barren County 28

Probably be a tight game but I think NH’s schedule has prepared them better.

Barren is playing well right now but North Hardin might be to much for them. NH by 14.

I’ll take the better Quarterback in this one, Tate Spillman and his Trojans of Barren County. Very difficult offense to prepare for and I’m not sure NH will be sound enough to defend it.

BC 28 NH 21

I echo the sentiments of @TheBallCoach here and believe the unfamiliarity will cause issues. Give me Barren County in a contest that will not be fun to watch.

21-20 BC

If Barren County can somehow find a way to win this game, it's a real possibility for them to have a regular season, undefeated season, which would be awesome to see.  The Allen County - Scottsville game would be the toughest game they have left and that is a toss up IMO.  Beyond that, they would be a #1 seed in their district and more than likely, headed to a 2nd round playoff game for the 1st time in I don't know how many years.  I think it's always great when you have the programs who are historically "doormats" have success.  It makes Kentucky high school football better in general.  Now, with all that being said, I don't think this game is very close in regards to talent.  If North Hardin can get out of their own way, I think they can win this game by 20+ points.  However, that's a BIG if.  If Barren County can stay disciplined and make some plays on special teams, where North Hardin is very weak, they could make a game of this.  I'm still going with NH by 18, largely because of missed XPs.

North Hardin 7-0. Halftime.

NH goes for it on 4&5 from inside the Barren County 30 and that's all it took for the North Hardin Trojans to score.
