So in week one the offense sucked, defense played good enough to win. Week two both units honestly played pretty solid. Week three defense was absolutely horrible, while the offense had a very good game and didn’t even punt. Maybe at some point they can put it all together before it’s to late. 
 

One thing is for sure they need their dlineman to get healthy. Murphy, Hill, Rankins, and both DTs they drafted this year being out has really hurt. They have absolutely zero pass rush up the middle without those guys, and Hubbard at least in pass rush terms can’t do anything anymore.

In 3 games our D has allowed 427 yards rushing and a 75% completion rate, just mind boggling bad!!!  AND Hill and Rankins both played in the first game when we allowed 180 yds rushing with NO pass rush from either one to New England who is HORRIBLE!!

Besides the 2nd and 21 we also had the TO we needed and NOBODY was running to the fumble Pratt caused, recovered by an OFFENSIVE LINEMAN!!! Who WAS running to the ball

As good as Burrow was overall, he was 2-7 in the red zone. He also made bad decisions as well as bad throws in the red zone. Lost points in the red zone was the difference in the game.

Absolutely, the red zone crushed Cincinnati last night. I know the defense wasn’t good, especially at the longer conversions for first down, but Jayden Daniels was part of that too. If he continues playing as he did the rest of the season, other defenses will struggle against him too. 

I don't think we should downplay how well Daniels played last night.  Sure, the Bengals D was horrific but as a dual threat to run or throw, Daniels is in a great system to maximize his abilities.  He has some good pieces around him (veterans at WR and TE) and good rookies at other positions.   Burrow is much further along with dissecting defenses and taking advantage of what is given to him.  But Daniels is the prototypical modern QB who, if he stays healthy, is a nightmare for defensive coordinators.  I am a big Lamar fan, but Daniels, I believe, is further along already at this early part of his career.

Amazing stat is that Washington has not had a single punt the last two weeks. The big difference was all their long drives last week led to field goals, and last night they led to touchdowns. Two weeks of no punts is impressive. Still no excuse for the Bengals defense to be as bas as they were yesterday, but very impressive by the Washington offense the last two weeks. 

The offseason turmoil was really a sign of things to come. Team has cap space but choosing not to use it to upgrade then choose not to play guys they’ve drafted because they favor the vets. 
 

You can’t tell me guys like Burton and Battle are any worse than what they’re putting on the field. 

Proven point that they are focusing more on vets instead of more talented young guys.
