Duke, BGP hate for them....

Featured Replies

I find this as comical as there is on this site.....Keep it up fellas...let your ire for Duke dillute your ability to care for your own teams...

It is not as big of a problem as you portray it to be. You see, in today's world of multi-tasking it is easy to root for your own team and hate Duke at the same time.;) As a matter of fact they kind of go hand in hand!!!!

I'm a HUGE UNC fan and a UK fan...'hate' isn't strong enough of a word...:p

The only time Ky fans cheer for UNC is when they play Duke, but I think they secretly wish for the gym to explode...

You wonder why a KENTUCKY message board doesn't embrace Duke yet have no problem taking jabs at another team inside your own state? Taking jabs at another school across town? Yet someone takes jabs at Duke? Seriously?

RP, being a Duke fan, aren't there any college basketball teams you really dis-like. ie: UNC, UCLA, UK. Part of rooting for your favorite team includes rooting against rivals. I don't think anyone means any ill will toward you when they root against Duke, it is just how they show support of their team.

Actually I'd rather see Duke win than UNC. UNC is second behind UK in total wins, so every loss counts. Duke will never catch up, but UNC or Kansas could. That said, I have much more respect for the UNC fans, however I can't ever force myself to root for them.

Thanks. Got it in a recent email.
Why would anyone be a Duke fan, anyway?

I often find myself asking that same question about the Dallas starboys. :p:D

I'm not talking about jabs....I'm talking about straight up trashing, and blatant blasphemy

Well isn't that nice....You could play for a team that won 0 games a season or 2 ago & are one of the worst teams in the nation. Congrats RP.

...blatant blasphemy

AKA in the rest of the world...the truth.
