I think it's quite comical that it bothers you so much. IF you didn't start a Duke thread once a day, claiming they're the best thing since sliced bread, you wouldn't have so many people 'hating' on them. I'd say a lot of it is just people trying to get under your skin. Which from my point of view, it seems to work.

Take a number. Sure, the DISLIKE for DUKE may run a LITTLE bit DEEPER across the BLUEGRASS becaue of a SHOT, but it is nothing odd as you ALLUDE to, IMO...
