I read that article and asked why? I hope the kid takes it as a personal challenge. I thought the article was uncalled for. U of L has not had that many problems. The two juveniles and the paintball incident was not their proudest moment. Williams has not caused any problems in the past two years. It would be different if he had just recently been arrested. Of course, UK fans will jump on this. I don't care. I hope Williams comes in, behaves, and wrecks havoc on opposing teams offenses. Maybe he has grown up and accepted responsibility. I never thought it was a teacher or coaches jobs to give up on kids. Because most of public will. Many are saved and become productive citizens and, yes, we lose some. But we have to try.

Like I've said before, people deserve second chances. He appears to be taking advantage of his, since he's been out of trouble for a few years now.

 

He grew up in a bad situation, and his sins were as a minor... we shouldn't even KNOW about them. But we do, and they'll haunt him everywhere he goes. Not exactly how our juvenille system is supposed to work, but if he keeps it turned around it will be a source of strength. Good luck to him.

When the highlights of your arrest record are huggin a person and setting off fire alarms I'd say the kid just needed to grow up a little. As has been stated before, he hasn't been in trouble since leaving Miami.

Let's not act like every school doesn't have it's share. I mean there is a school down the road that had Football players exposing themselves to minor boys, and making sexually explict comments to them, weapons charges, fighting, Marajuana, and other things. It is normal to have kids that do stupid things. Granted Willi Williams was a thug, straight up, no class no respect for the law, thug. But that is part of where and how he grew up. It is a part of him but if he has been disciplined enough to keep clean for two years and a Sheriff says someone should take a chance on him, I say go for it but keep his chances limited.
