Moved to 7:00

Highlands vs Covington Catholic Freshman has been moved to 7:30 start on Thursday at Highlands.

Should be an interesting year in NKY Freshman football.

I heard Covington Catholic could be the favorite this year.  Heard they have some nice athletes.  Ryle, Highlands and Campbell County will be battling as well.  I have not heard much about any of the other NKY teams.  Predictions/Updates?

Campbell County Freshman QB is playing backup on Varsity and I believe also starting Freshman.

I have seen Freshman Mo Smith is playing Varsity at Simon Kenton.  Is he playing Freshman as well?

Any other Freshman playing Varsity?

Best of luck to all the Freshman playing this season!

If the Campbell kid is varsity backup, likely means he has pays JV, so why play frosh football?

I’ve also heard CCH has some great FR athletes. I’d like to make a game or two this year.

No mega reasoning, just names I’ve heard to keep on eye on this year are Dylan Courtney, the young Johnny Danneman and Landry Queen.

I also know Willie Rodriquez’s twin brothers are Freshman this year, but have not heard what they play or where they’ll fit on the team.

Final from St Henry

Nice strength on that arm. The QB planted his rear foot right around his own 38 yard line and the receiver caught it at just about the opposite 28 yard line. Figures to around 34 yards in the air. Wasn't the tightest spiral I've ever seen in my life, but give his hands a year or two of growth and that ball will look like a rifle shot.
