1) Breathitt County (12-6):
Previous Rank: 1

Breathitt County didn’t have a good week as they dropped two of they’re three games falling to both Rowan County 81-58 and Danville Christian 56-34 in the All A State Tournament at The Corbin Arena. The Bobcats would bounce back strong and defeat Morgan County 89-75.

This Week:

Tuesday vs Hazard

Thursday at Powell County.

2) Hazard (18-2):

Previous Rank: 2

Hazard picked up two wins last week and ran their winning streak to 3 games. They defeated Buckhorn 67-38 and Letcher County Central 62-43  both were on the road. Hazard has now won 7 of they’re last 8 games.

Thursday at Perry County Central

Saturday vs Powell County (at Owsley County)

3) Knott County Central (14-4):

Previous Rank: 4

The Patriots picked up two wins last week defeating both Jenkins 74-59 and Perry County Central 46-45. Both were on the road.

This Week:

Monday vs Morgan County

Wednesday at Harlan Ind.

Friday vs Wolfe County.

4) Perry County Central (13-9):

Previous Rank: 3

Perry County Central went 2-1 this past week, which also seen their win streak get snapped. They picked up a win over Wolfe County 83-72 which ran their win streak to 4 straight. That streak would be snapped at the hands of Knott County Central 46-45. Perry Central would bounce back in big way cruising past district foe Buckhorn 73-46.

5) Letcher County Central (10-9):

Previous Rank: 5

Letcher County Central picked up wins over Cordia 76-52 and Jenkins 83-61 before falling to Hazard 62-43.

Wednesday at Mountain Mission VA

Saturday at Perry County Central

6) Wolfe County (8-8):

Previous Rank: 7

The Wolves continue to struggle. They are 2 and 3 in their last 5 games and have only put up one two game win streak this season.

Saturday vs Betsy Layne

7) Powell County (8-9):

Previous Rank: 8

The Pirates are starting to get hot at the right time. They have won three straight games, all district games and all by double digit wins over Lee County, Owsley County and Estill County. Unless something drastically happens, the Pirates will have the #1 seed going into the 56th district tournament.

8 ) Estill County (13-6):

The Engineers seen they’re 5 game win streak snap as well as they’re bid for the 1 seed in the 56th district tournament as they would fall to Powell County 68-55.

9) Lee County (7-11):

Previous Rank: 9

Lee County picked up a big big win this past week over Owsley County 72-66 which will likely earn them the 3 seed and possibly a first round district match up with Estill County. The win also snapped a 4 game losing streak.

Saturday at Buckhorn

10) Owsley County (7-15):

Previous Rank: 10

The Owls would pick up a win over Red Bird that would snap a 2 game losing streak but the win would be short lived as they would fall the very next day to district foe Lee County 72-66. Owls are winless in the district with 1 game remaining at Estill County.
