Look at the teams winning and playing in Super Bowls. They have studly tight ends.

Defensive tackle would very much be in play for me if I was the Bengals. They need an interior pass rush, and where they are picking they could possibly get a good one. Obviously after free agency though we will have a much better idea on what direction they may go in the draft.

Look what happened to Michael Mayer last year. Everyone thought he was a sure first round pick.

The few times that I have seen Bowers play on TV indicate that he is a special talent. I would love to see him as another weapon for Burrow.

Agree. If he is there, good chance the Bengals take him. But like you said, I don't think he will be there.

If T doesn't get a long term contract, it will be because T doesn't want to be in Cincinnati. With the increase in the salary cap, the money is there for a long term deal.

Even with that salary cap increase I don’t think that’s necessarily true. Higgins agent is the same as Bates. Which that agent is big on getting big guanrteed money for his clients, and the Bengals aren’t big on giving huge guanrteed money besides for up front in the form of signing bonus. So with them knowing they also need to extend Chase. The Bengals are going to have a number in their head and won’t really go much above it for Higgins even with the increase. So if Higgins isn’t back, I don’t think it’s cause he don’t want to be a Bengal. It would be because the Bengals still didn’t structure the contract to meet the money Higgins agent thinks he can get. Which probably is even higher now, since now all teams could offer more.

BUT if they plan to do so, they will likely have to cut him BEFORE March 18th, when he is due his fully guaranteed roster bonus of $3 Million.

Mixon will be 28 next season, should the Bengals keep him 1 more year? Or cut him, save the money, & configure the running back room differently in 2024?

From what was said by the staff at the combine, I think Mixon has played his last game for the Bengals.  They want the offense to be more explosive and generate more big plays.  Mixon doesn't provide that.  Not to mention that they seemed to be talking about him in the past tense.
