I looked at their schedule. This is a function of 9 two-year “home and home” series plus the annual neutral site game vs Louisville X. One year 5 home, 4 away and the neutral site. The next year the opposite. But how about the 4 home games - Center Grove, Male, Cincinnati X and Ballard. Big boy football.

Wow and then some.

Despite losing a lot of good players, I have a feeling that Trinity will be pretty solid next season.

Any news on the Champs, anyone?

At the spring game last week, I thought all the QBs threw the ball well, even though the receivers IMO had some trouble getting open (perhaps due to some of them running track or being injured or to the defense's familiarity with the routes).    The best running back - Berry - was  also doing track I was told.   I thought both lines looked strong and OL Elijah Hernandez  (Sr.) is a name to remember.   Running game was not where it needs to be although it improved later in the game, probably to personnel substitutions.   Kicking game was very good.  LB play needs some work.   Secondary was good.   Most impressive of all to me was the spirit shown for a spring practice game.  I hope it carries over to the summer and fall.   We'll see how things play out.

Have heard a few rumblings about some transfers and whatnot, but nothing credible at this point. Spring Game was good for the guys to get out and go 1's vs. 1's for a bit and I agree with what was said above. Secondary will be very deep with Kamara, Ford, Bratcher-Gray, Ricks and maybe a few switches from the offensive side. The coaches are extremely high on FR corner L.A. Evans too.

The LB's need to mature quickly and command the system, especially with 3-4 new starters. Luckily, Coach Cobb worked several of them into game last year and I can see FR Luke Vize and JR JC Wilson making a big impact. JR Finn Laskowski has a couple starts to his name and JR A.J. Hughes saw a lot of time as well. Sebastian Blue already has the physique (6'2, 215ish) as a current freshman and JR Nick Lococo was an exciting prospect before a season ending injury last year.   Defensive line looks very solid if not deep. FR Juleone Carney probably starts at 99% of any other programs but was a backup for us and did a heck of a job. JR Bailey Vance is a returning starter and maybe was Trinity's most technically sound defender. JR Jahbarri Frost has NFL pedigree and looks tough in practice so far. There isn't much depth yet, but the freshman class was stout and should make some noise in the coming months.

Have heard a huge name who could possibly be joining the staff in some capacity, but nothing solid on that front. Could be a complete game changer for the Rocks, but we will have to wait and see. Have also heard a (513) team may be coming to future schedules, but we shall see... ☘️ 

I saw that Trinity had some players at the UK football camp on Sunday.

Any updates?  Been real quiet for awhile.

Any pre-season news?

Coach Cobb has elected to go primarily with early morning practices during the heat so I have not been able to get out there much for post-dead period action. Will try to get an update ASAP.

Maybe I've missed it or simply can't find it, but what is the time/date/location/ opponent of their scrimmage this year?

August 10th at home vs Springfield.  Not sure of the time.

Next Saturday against Dayton Springfield at home beginning at 11:30 am.

Springfield has been to the Division 1 state championship game either 3 or 4 years in a row.  They have beaten Moeller in the state semi finals the past 3 years and have lost to Cleveland St. Ed’s all 3 years.  They are coached by Moe Douglass who was an all SEC DB at UK back in the 80s who went on to a very successful NFL career.  Should be a great barometer for Trinity.

I hope Trinity hasn't over scheduled, considering their youth.    After this scrimmage, they have a very challenging run of 8 games with no bye:  Bryan Station, Frederick Douglass, Center Grove (IN), Carmel (IN), Male, St. X (KY), St. X (OH), Ballard.   I thought they over scheduled a few years back and got beat down a little bit.
