The most telling part,

"Stoops’s record has been padded by playing three lightweight nonconference games every year—38.4% of his career wins are against low-level FBS or FCS opponents. He’s been paid a ton of money to never win the SEC East and produce just two winning SEC records in 11 seasons."

Which is why most people were scratching their heads that A.) TAMU was seriously considering Stoops and B.) Why Stoops would leave UK when he has it made both financially and with mediocre expectations.

With Stoops' mediocracy exposed, does this raise expectations from the fans in the coming seasons?

So everyone is bashing Stoops that is heading to another bowl game at 7-5 and just knocked off in-stare rival Louisville for the 5th straight year and all the time Stoops has been at UK he has played with mediocre talent that other SEC powers didn’t want and by the way leads all coaches in Ky football history in wins. Really!!

I'm afraid that nowadays if schools don't have access to a big NIL pocketbook, then they're doomed to mediocraty.  Stoops might have been right when he requested more NIL money after the Georgia loss.  It'll be interesting (and likely disheartening) to see the landscape of college football in 4-5 years.
