Another name being tossed around is Yogi Davis.

Davis has been a name I heard since the job opened.

Any idea when a hire will be made?

I expect several schools, including Hazard, to make their announcements this week or next.

IF they are really doing a search they need to see if Mike Sizemore at Clay Co has any interest.  He has had success at two schools now that didn't have much if any success before he got there.

Not too long ago this was one of the best jobs in the state.  Any idea what the hold up is?

Are they still kicking? Nov 8th seems like a really long time!

Would have expected a hire at this program by now!

Per Hazard Athletics on Facebook, yes. He was the OC at Franklin County last season.

From Hazard High School Athletics on Facebook.

We would like to welcome the new Head Football Coach at Hazard High School, Matt Chandler. Coach Chandler was the Offensive Coordinator this past season at Franklin County High School in Frankfort, KY.  The Franklin County Flyers were 13-1 this past season losing to the eventual state 4A champion Boyle County Rebels.  There will be a reception and formal introduction for Coach Chandler tomorrow, January 29th at the Hazard High School Cafeteria at 4:30 pm. Local media outlets will be present to report Coach Chandlers hiring. Refreshments and Hors d'oeuvres will be served. Go Bulldogs!!!
