I understand players can still win, even if their coaches/school is not a memeber of KFCA. That is defiently the right choice.

Don’t disagree he’s a good choice and a great player, but the facts are: Ryle won the district, had a much harder schedule, and rarely do you see a QB who leads the state in those stats get snubbed.

I’d feel differently if SK won the district.

There is a lot of irony in Brady Hensley winning over Cutter Boley. Hensley deserves it IMO but strikes me as ironic.

Does this knock Boley out of the Mr. Football consideration?  Doesn't the KFCA Mr. Football have to be a district POY winner?

Kade Goodin of Collins winning as a Freshman is insanely impressive, especially in that district. Kid is going to be a problem the next 3 years.

You do realize that your team has one more win but neither of their 4 wins or your 5 wins we against anyone who had a winning record. Just saying.

Success is the only motivational factor that a man with character needs and a big congratulations goes to Coach Burke for his hard work and dedication. This is definitely the scuttlebutt at Happy Hour tonight amongst the local patrons. 4-6 and 3rd place normally does not garner such accolades but good for him and may Dixie's success continue!

 

Coach Burke isn’t the first coach (nor will he be the last) to win district coach of the year with a sub .500 record. This in part the difference between coaches and fans. The award for is for best coach and not best record. It is completely possible that more coaches in that district believed he did a better coaching job than others. 
 

One thing coaches realize is that a coach can do an amazing job and end up 0-10 and another can do an average job and be 10-0. 

Well said. Truer words cannot be spoken and that is really all that matters at the end of the day. The Dixie Parents may not agree but you are speaking the truth. It can't always be about winning.
