March 2, 200719 yr Before watching the waterhole, I really had no desire to visit Africa. But now I think I could see myself hanging at the lodge watching the monkeys and zebras.
March 3, 200719 yr There is also a site, I believe it is called deertv.com, where they have mounted cameras on the head of Whitetail Deer. You have to pay to watch but there is a free sample. You see what the deer sees. It is pretty cool but I won't pay to see it. That would be really cool during hunting season JMO
March 13, 200719 yr In case you were wondering what you missed in the past week... The Elephant was named the top seed and will drink from the water hole first. Some people felt the giraffe got snubbed from the water hole, but the baboons were quick to point out the giraffe really didn't have a tough path to the water hole. Others feel like the jackals got a gift and will be allowed to enter the water hole ahead of several more deserving animals. Some also feel like the jackal benefits from having the water hole so close to their home. It was no shock the deer were seeded 16th. Most everyone feel the zebras are the darkhorses, but only at night. The turtles are happy with their #4 seed in the Southeast.

March 14, 200719 yr Geeze!!! Why can't I see a hippo, rhino, lion, or some type of exciting animal??? All I ever see are birds, bugs, a few zebras..... and a water hole with a tree reflecting in the water..:irked:

Seen lions once; but that was months ago. Seen giraffes a few times. Most commonly, you'll see what I call The Three Amigos: Wildebeest, Impalas, and Zebras. They usually hang out together, in large herds.
March 14, 200719 yr OK I didnt read through the entire thread, and of course I just now stumbled on to the site. But did something change since the beginning? I am now looking at a fawn or something laying in grass, but there does not appear to be a watering hole anywhere around.
