North Hardin is forfeiting the last 2 district games played (at least) due to playing an ineligible player. This now makes the Central Hardin vs Barren County game a District Championship game and the North Hardin vs Warren Central game is now for 3rd and 4th place. I have tagged @NateInSportsbelow with his tweet on the situation as NH has kept things VERY quiet the past couple of days....

 

Any more info on this situation?  I hate it for the kids when they lose games because of an administrative mistake!

 

Since every team gets in playoffs, this isn't big impact other than seeding.

Is the impact going to affect the RPI ratings?  Especially for other teams.

Would assume the RPI sees either a W or an L and doesn't really matter why.  I would think those losses would affect those who had beaten them, lowering their RPI a little.

It should for their opponents, and their opponents' opponents.

The L's still aren't showing as 0-1 forfeits on North Hardin's team schedule or RPI pages. 

I'm not clear from @NateInSports reporting, which games are going to be forfeited.

In the end, Districts 1 and 2 are weak 6A Districts. 2 of the following 3 teams is almost assured of making it to the 3rd round of the playoffs.

The news is pretty big for Henderson County, as Central Hardin will likely end up the 1 and North Hardin the 3 - they’d play each other in the second round, and Henderson County won’t have to see either. 
 

I think the loser of McCracken County/Daviess County this Friday will have a better chance of advancing than the winner. 

When is the KHSAA going to make a call? The 2-A RPI really hangs in the balance.

According to the News Enterprise (Etown newspaper) NH will be forfeiting 3 games due to not completing transfer paperwork on a student that transferred from a local school. I have attached the link of the article to this post 

I'll be watching to see if this plays into the overall RPI of Owensboro Catholic in 2A.  They close the season at North Hardin and IF they were to win, they will finish 10-0.  I wonder if the hit NH will take from the 3 forfeits will impact the 2A RPI finish?

Doubtful there is much impact. I don't think those three games will change anything in 2A RPI. If Owensboro Catholic wins out, they will have an insurmountable lead even if North Hardin were 0-10. The big value from beating a 6A school has much more impact.
