You're half right. Mayfield is more disciplined but I would say PT is not more talented. They have a bigger offensive line.

I guess it depends on how you would define talent. PT, just off the top of my head has 5 guys with D1 offers on offense and several more on defense. I need to go make a list, but as a team, they have to have as many players who will be playing at the next level as just about anyone.

Of course, that doesn't mean it's going to always translate to a win every week, there's a lot of pieces to make the thing work, but they definitely have some dudes who can play.

Mayfield being more disciplined right now isn't even a debate in anyone's wildest dreams. PT has to be on a historic pace for penalty yards through 2 games. Unbelievable so far.

I’m honor of the game tonight. A Mayfield-Tilghman program from almost 60 years ago.

  • If I wanted to I could go on and on about our 17 game win streak over PT, but the truth of the matter is 75% of the players on these rosters weren’t even born the last time Paducah won and they couldn

Who are those players? Are they genuine offers or just looks.  If one of those player's is the QB , don't make me laugh.

Obviously the qb is one of them. He has multiple offers, and you can laugh all you want, I've been through the recruiting process, they don't just randomly hand them out at that level very often. Shemari Thomas at WR, Carter Jr DB/WR, Jarvis Strickland OL, Tomago Daniels OL, Xsavier Cleary DL.

Yes, all genuine offers. Like I said, I'll have to sit down and make a list, I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, but there's several.

The qb is a decent to good qb. He is a marginal prospect at this point. Just be cause you say these guys have D1 offers doesn't make it so.  I would say Mayfield has 4 players off the top of my head that will get D1 offers. Starks, Dabney, Jackson and Biggers but I'm just guessing. I'm talking Murray State and the like.

Just because I say it doesn't make it so? Now you're just trying to be funny. All those guys I listed have scholarship offers from schools, you are free to go check them out. I'm not making things up for your entertainment.

I looked them up and your right 4 of your 5, I found have offers, all except Thomas who I found runs 5.12 40. It looks like so far we're about even on the D1 offers . In other words, you got talent, we got talent.

PT player Martels Carter Jr listed on 247sports as top recruit in KY, class of 2025.

Only player listed on 247 and rivals with a D1 offer.

Yes, rumor is Saban and Coach Prime may be there, I am picking Mayfield in another close one , but one play, one game the goal is Kroger field.

I have heard who they maybe coming to see but Mayfield has talent and Prime time may see him old self as Mayfields secondary has been dubbed Legion on Doom and with in that there has been an official (NO FLY ZONE) warning within that secondary just ask Graves and Hopkinsville....can't wait and it could be a battle of who actually has the best secondary vs wide receivers...

Found this site a few weeks ago that lists all the high schools with players that have played in the NFL. Tilghman is tied with Highlands for 8th in Kentucky with 5. What I find interesting is that some of the more prominent programs in the State don't have very many players that move on beyond high school. Mayfield has only one guy and that was in 1926. Tilghman may fall short in state titles, but they do a very good job moving players on beyond high school.

Hunter Cantwell, although for a very, very short time, was signed to the Carolina Panthers active roster after spending all his time on the practice squad prior.

I believe Corey Robinson from Lone Oak had a short stint with a practice squad. I don't remember the team.

Some of those PT NFL players tombstones will read "Never could beat Mayfield".
