With Knees Buckled, Station Looks To Respond Against Flyers

BGP Rankings: Bryan Station (#6 in 6A) | Franklin County (#7 in 4A)

Records: Bryan Station (0-1) | Franklin County (1-0)

Week 1 Results: BS lost 3-36 to Trinity | FC beat Great Crossing 23-21

Series History: Bryan Station leads 12-1-1 all-time

Long Dormant Series Rekindled: After taking one on the chin from Trinity, Station turns the page to an old foe. The Defenders and Flyers both opened their doors in the late 50s and quickly found one another in the infancy of their football programs. Franklin County's lone win in the series was the first game between the two, in 1959. They haven't met since 1972. It's hard to say where Station's head is at right now, but it needs to be on straight when they arrive in 'Title Town' for their half of the Rebel Bowl. The Flyers have no interest in being a bounce back win for anyone.

I think Bryan Station bounces back from loss and gets the win.

Will JT Haskins play?

That's the biggest question heading into this one. Was hurt late against Trinity

Station beat Great Crossing 35-7 in 3 quarters in their scrimmage a couple weeks ago. I think Station wins this one comfortably.

Can not til anything from that game. Flyers were up 23-0 at half. An injury derailed the plans in second half. Also Crossings qb ran around a ton... not something he done in scrimmages I guess.  Station should be the favorite, but we shall see! GO FLYERS.

I think Station bounces back and gets this one. Haskins being out might change my mind (if that's the case). I'm interested to see if coach Hawkins will make the switch back to some of the more power oriented football that he finished the season with last year.

Fair point, would you happen to know what injury the Qb suffered and if he'll be back for this next game?

I do not. Been pretty quiet. The backup is the best athlete on the team and can sling it.

Haven’t saw either play yet. But reading about Station at the line last week will be key to watch. The Flyers Coach Ledford always has a stout D-Line especially these last 5-6 years during their amazing run. I’m going with FC in what most would call an upset.

Station by multiple scores.
