  • Isn't this the revenge game for WC from last year? All I remember is the WC announcers going off on the Refs and saying Homer a bunch about a botch call from the refs. @MaddenCurse44

That seems like some poor planning, to not have a way to makeup a game the following day.

SK kids won't get home until about 1am. Plus they have SK vs Cooper JV game at 1 pm tomorrow. Just sounds like a mess.

Exactly, poor planning.

If the schools were closer to each other the game would’ve have been made up. But with the distance involved it would be absolutely unfair and a huge disadvantage for SK. Plus there’s no guarantee they’d get in tomorrow. The only way this game would have been played is if they would have moved it to Saturday earlier in the week.

This really sticks for the kids, coaches and supporters.  Wish they could get that in, but now I just hope they can each find a game in their bye week so the kids don't lose a game.  Tough break for sure.

Distance?

What are they, like an hour and a half, two hours away? It's not like this is  going from Pikeville to Paducah. If this distance was prohibitive on a day's notice, then why schedule the game in the first place?

Agreed, its only 1.5 hours.  Not an issue.

It is an issue when as somebody said earlier they didn't get in until about 1 am. Would be completely unfair to play the game early in the morning, and with temps predicted in the 90's, there's a good chance they wouldn't be able to play in the afternoon. I suppose they could play in the evening, but you've also got the problem of getting officials, scheduling transportation and putting all the other logistics of moving a large football team on short notice. Again, all of this isn't so bad if you're only traveling a few miles. But even 1.5 hours, makes things more difficult.

I was just told WC wouldn't travel to SK today to play so they flipped a coin and SK won. SK gets the win.

Frederick Douglass did not get home until a little after 12:00 last night and they are going back to Trinity to play at 2:00pm today.
