There's a lot of potential matchups at this point that would be more beneficial than continuing to play Holy Cross. Nothing against Holy Cross....they've beaten and competed with Scott a few times over the last decade. But there's no reason or benefit for a 5A school who has expectations, to play an up and down 1A school. 

With what’s going around the listserv I hope they had a nondistrict schedule already put together or at least had someone working on it.  It’s become pretty common practice to get agreements before the season even ends. If not you risk either not playing a full schedule or playing way over your head.

Agreed, I’d have to assume they’ve got a couple agreements with a few teams about playing Non district schedule. But, at the same time, could have very well been between Coach and Coach, meaning Fisk would had to of reaffirmed upon Turner resigning, possibly one falling through the cracks. 

One thing is for certain, whoever the new coach will be, will have his hand already dealt upon arrival.

And if my source confused the two, who knows. But, I have a really difficult time believing Marksberry goes from retiring at SK just and a year or two later to take the Scott position which is a significantly tougher job. And in terms of Woolley, wasn’t he the head coach previously at Scott? If it is the same guy, if I were Scott, I’d be looking in a different, fresh, and new direction than resorting back to Woolley, even though he’s the most successful coach in history there. But from what I’ve heard about the administration in numerous conversations, they are content with no making any waves, and making the easy decision like hiring from former staffs. Not to mention, why go back to a guy who left you once. And if I’m Woolley, why return? Nothing has changed at Scott yet to make this a better job.

Totally agree, just can’t imagine a world in which he would take this job, when he stepped away from SK. Not to mention he could get a better one if he’s missing the headset life.

I think it would be a good fit coaching in 5A.
