What do you think NCAA should have done, based on recent rulings on more egregious issues?

He's already played in 3 of the first 7 games, does that mean he just has to sit 4 more?

Stansbury said that UK did not know he was ineligible.  How is that possible?

Bizarre. Looks like the games were from November and December of 2021. I looked back and he played in nine games total those months, however it looks as if he didn’t play between December 7 and December 29 (played on 12/29 and 12/31). The semester probably ended the week of the 5th, hence any game that week or before, in which he played, Allen would have been ineligible. 

From what I was reading the NCAA knew he was ineligible but failed to tell anyone. Officials, UK, Coaches anyone then hit UK with big fine.

My take on the situation is grades.

It’s not what the NCAA should or shouldn’t do that concerns me.  It’s the loss of playing time. 

I don't know if this is the case or not. But there are several classes where grades aren't entered until near the end of the semester. I think that practice is wrong, but I've heard more than one parent complaint that their student didn't know their grade standing until finals were approaching. My daughter is a senior at UK and has classes where multiple weeks of grades weren't entered until they were all dumped in at once. Under these circumstances I can see how a student and even academic advisors wouldn't know a student's grade until it was too late to bring it up.

So it is possible that no one knew where his grades were until it was too late.

Stansbury said that no one on the UK coaching staff, nor anyone else in the program, was aware that he was ineligible.  He also stated it was an issue with grades.

Yep. Sounds like NCAA dropped it on this case if true.
