Game finished in OT that could get added to thread title.

and yes, second time in school history the Raiders finish undefeated.

HUGE Season for the Raiders!

Congrats!

Is WE a chance at a title good?

This game last year was a final score of 52-14 in favor of DC.

What a difference a year makes. Dane Parsley is utterly unbelievable.

Fair question.  The other teams at the top of 5A are more battle tested than East and include Boyle County, Corbin and Lexington Catholic.  I still give them a punchers chance in 1 game against one of them, but they wouldn't be favored over any of those teams.  But they are definitely dangerous.

I think a good run is in order.  DC was no pushover.

I would love to see a game between Warren East and Logan County. They would have been on a collision course to play in the 4A Region One title game under the old playoff format but the RPI may stand in the way of that.

 East just has some weapons offensively. Defensively, 48 points is a lot, I understand, but they had some very key stops and got off the field in both halves.

I thought DC was very talented. They had great skill kids and tall, bulky, athletic linemen to add with it. Most of all,  they seemed very well coached.

Sounds like a thriller! Great Job Warren East on a 10-0 regular season.

I think the biggest takeaway from this Daviess Co. game for East was that they found a way to win. Great teams do that. I know that sounds cliche but I have seen many East teams in the past that have found ways to lose games they should have won. I think this season and their ability to find ways to win are a testament to:

1. The work of building a program over just building a team that Coach Griff has done;

2. The coaching staff that has been put together at East—they have top notch coaching there right now;

3. The talented players they have who play together—they really are special when you look at them physically;

4. Against almost anyone, East’s QB is gonna be the best player on the field.

What a run so far by the Raiders!

With the update to RPI, the two playing would be very unlikely at this point.  Warren East squeezed past Spencer County for the top RPI in the east, so they have homefield advantage for the first three rounds of playoffs.  Logan County is 3rd in the east, so there is no chance of them meeting in the third round.  If both advanced to the state semifinals, they'd need two of the three teams that would be ahead of them to lose before that round, those being Corbin, Boyle County, and Lexington Catholic.  One of those teams WILL lose, but it seems unlikely two of them would.  Probably would require Johnson Central to upset Corbin to make it happen.
