6A #2 Trinity (3-1) hosts 6A #5 Male (1-2) after defeating La Salle (OH) 31-10. Male is coming off a open week.

Trinity had their best game of the season against La Salle with a improved Trinity defense keeping La Salle bottled up yielding only one touchdown. QB Andrew Allen continues to make plays to keep the Shamrocks winning against a tough schedule.

Male has struggled offensively behind a new O-Line but the defense has played well and has a very good secondary as all 4 were starters last year. RB Daniel Swinney is a threat to break tackles anytime he touches the ball and the leader on offense.

Last year Male won 48-21 in the Class 6A playoff semifinals.

Trinity should win this game but the Male defense can allow Male to hang around in this game. Does Trinity avenge last year's losses to Male or does Male make it three in a row?

 

Marshall Stadium will be electric Friday night.  And Male brings a big crowd. I think Trinity wins this one by a few scores. But, this is a rivalry these days.

I think the Rocks win this with their defense.

Male's defense will keep them within striking distance, but Trinity will be able pull this one out in the end.

I just think Male lacks the horses this year. Trinity is gonna take this one by 2+ touchdowns.

Male has to find a way to create turnovers. Trinity has proven they can win "ugly" grind 'em games, Male hasn't. I don't know if Trinity uses the same placekicker and punter, but they are both weapons and Trinity has a big time advantage in the special teams department with those guys. If every thing is the same, I just think that Trinity's offense will be able to generate just enough offense to keep them on the field than the Male off will be able to do against the Trinity defense.
