Who are some names that have a chance at being Mr Football this season?

I know we are going to have a big thread on this topic soon.

If Kenyatta Carbon from Owensboro has the yr I’m expecting him to have, I can see him being in the mix.

I would take Tommy Ziesmer over any other senior in the state. But as a primary defensive player it will be hard for him to win it IMO.

Mitchell Berger from Beechwood has to be considered. Especially when considering All around skills. RB, WR, LB, Kicker, Punter. Prove me wrong.

Cutter Boley - LCA through 3 games and only 8 quarters

51 of 73 for 1021 yards - 340.3 yds/g

9 TD's to 2 picks

12 rush for 62 yards and 2 TD's

It’s for Seniors only. Boley isn’t a senior.

I agree with LoudenSwain.  Beechwood's SR RB/LB/P/K Mitchell Berger is a Pre-Season Mr. Football candidate who is already racking up the numbers.  Unofficially, through 3 games played, :

-  52 Carries

-  531 Yards

-  9 TD

-   10.2 YPC

-  7 Receptions

-  126 Yards

-  2 TD

-  657 Total Yards

-  11 TD

-  4-4 PAT

-  1-1 FG

-  5 Punts at 45 Yard Avg

-  2 Fumble Recovery

-  1 Forced Fumble

-  No idea how many total tackles on D.

Not only is he a Pre-Season candidate for KY Mr. Football, he will undoubtedly be a Pre-Season candidate for KY Mr. Baseball.  Berger is a P/OF who hits .400, and sits 89-92, top 94 on the mound.  An Eastern Kentucky University P commit.  This kid might just win both awards this year.  He's a pretty special athlete and better kid with a great family.  Good Luck.

Collins QB Kenyon Goodin is a name that should be mentioned. Goodin finished with 52 total TD's last year and is off to a hot start this season. Through 3 games, Goodin is 48-64, 692 yards, 11 touchdowns, 1 interception. He has also carried the ball 25 times for 230 yards and 4 touchdowns. Should also be noted that he has only played 10 quarters as he sat out the 2nd half of their game against J-Town due to a running clock. This kid can flat out play.

Turns out, there's a weekly thread dedicated to this very topic. Here are links to the preseason edition and the three regular season threads so far. Feel free to post all thoughts and opinions there. I try to have the newest edition out each Tuesday.
