That seems like a ridiculous statement to me. I know that you are a die hard Duke fan, but to claim that he gets the most from his kids after also recognizing the talent he has had and not having success in the tournament seems crazy.

Coach K is definitely the GOAT, that is one thing we can agree on. He has been a college head coach for 47 and has 13 final fours. Which on average means averaged a final four once every 3.61 years, which rounded up equals once every four years, which is remarkable.  
 

To put things in perspective another coach who you think is not good. Has been a college head coach for 30 years and has 6 final fours. Meaning on average this coach you think that is not good averages a final four once every 5 years.  Which like it or not is also remarkable.

What is laughable is your ongoing banter that Calipari is not a good coach. Top ten in Final Fours. Top 15 in career wins. Top ten in winning percent and almost exactly the same winning percent as Coach K. That isn't a good coach?

Your views on Cal are so over the top that it discounts your comments on basketball coaches and makes it harder to believe you when you say Coach K is the GOAT. I look at Duke's lineup and wonder who on UK's team would get minutes? Honestly, I wonder how many minutes Oscar gets if he plays for Duke. Is he taking minutes from Williams and/or Banchero? Maybe they move Banchero to the 3 and get Oscar minutes that way? Who else for UK gets minutes if they play for Duke?

But every season they have "the best class in program history". Watching the tournament I have been much more impressed with many other teams. I get a kick out of UK diehards. They go from greatest coach ever....to fire the guy...it's time lol. He's the right guy for the fanbase. For some reason people think it's easy to get to the Final Four, much less a Championship. I guess it's that way everywhere.

Guess what? If Sharpe stays, UK has the #1 rated recruiting class. ?  Just going by what the rating sites say.

Fact of the matter is if Sharpe stays, he will be the first top 5 rated UK recruit since Bam Adebayo way back in 2016. UK's lack of Final Fours since 2015 is because they haven't brought in the top tier players. Am I singing the right tune @John Anthony?

The deal with Sharpe is hilarious. He's weighing NIL opportunities versus draft position. May be the first player to never play a minute for UK but he'll still be "one of ours" lol.

I am not sure many are going to be as accepting of Sharpe as part of BBN, if he leaves for the draft this year.

Pretty much, trying to develop mid-level guys and taking guys from mid-level schools has been a mixed bag.  
 

I hope Sharpe stays so we can test my theory.  If he’s truly the talent of a number 1 overall pick, UK should have a great season.

With the Sharpe situation this season, I wonder about this. Sharpe attended a private school and graduated early last fall. That is how he is getting around the NBA rule and qualifying for the draft. Was Cal concerned that the NCAA might look into that high school graduation/credits and find something? Cal has been burned by the NCAA before. Perhaps he was concerned if he played Sharpe that the NCAA would find something then penalize UK. But he wanted to get Sharpe in to lock him in at UK if the NBA ruled him not eligible for the draft. Weird situation that seems like there is more to the story than we have heard.

Seems like their compliance people at UK would have been all over that.
