This is quite a steal for the Racers. Northington apparently turned down several FBS offers. I love the way he runs the football - like a grown man.

WOW! That is a GREAT get for Murray State.

I'm surprised at this.  But great addition for the Racers!

Did not see MSU in his top 4-5. Great pick up or the Racers. Wonder what’s the determining factor?

Not sure but maybe he got a NIL deal. Seems to be what's driving recruiting now.

Love this pickup for the Racers. They have a lot of great young running backs. Coach Hood is building that program back up!

I’m just asking the question, were any of his P5 offers committable offers? These schools throw out offers to these kids, and when in reality they are not committable offers. If all the kids ahead of them on the pecking order don’t pass on the offer, then the offer is not really an offer. It’s ridiculous how recruiting is now versus 20-25 years ago, where an offer meant they were really offering you a scholarship.

It sounds like Longmire from Corbin was in the same situation.

@gbballfan21 agree with you. Recruiting has changed so much. I think early offers set kids up for failure honestly. You never know when a kid tweets out an offer if it is actually a committable offer, they may not know either lol.

Great pick up for Coach Hood. The running game for the Racers seem to have a bright future.  Murray State began running the ball more effectively since the inception of Coach Hood during last year's spring season.  Can't wait to see them in the fall.  Congrats!!

Once he proves himself at the FCS level, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him transfer up to the FBS level.
