Sage Dawson is more than capable.  He has a very strong arm and is quick as a hiccup.  Will have to prove he is as tough as Gillis and has the drive that Gillis has.  Like Duggins and Smith, Gillis would not let his team be denied.

One thing that shocks me about the game is, there was not 1 turnover in this game.  Both teams really took care of the ball.

Beat me to it.  Travis Burns did an unbelievable job getting this team from where they were early in the season to where they were at the end.  I heard a lot of "can we talk Hester into coming back" early in the season.  Hester is and always will be a Boyle legend but as a coach your job is to get your players better each practice, each game.  After camp I told several that I didn't think there was anyway Boyle made it back to Commonwealth much less win it.  The job by the entire staff this year was incredible.

We've now won a State Championship without Chuck Smith, Chris Pardue, and Jeff Hester.  3 very big shoes to fill!  I agree Travis Burns did a great job this season.  Boyle as a overall coaching staff are very young and could be around for a good long time.  The Rebel team is in good hands today and making their on mark at Boyle County. 

Better get a bigger trophy case!

What Boyle has done with football since 2000 has been nothing short of extraordinary.  They have totally supplanted Danville as the #1 team in Title Town and while they have reached new heights, Danville has been in free fall ever since blowing the 2006 title game against Newport Central Catholic (small run with Van Cleave and crew between 2015-2017 excluded).  Hard not to be jealous and sad as an Ads fan things have worked out that way, but I still root for Boyle when they aren't playing the Ads!
