I think he realized, early on, he was in over his head.  But unlike Bobby Petrino, he wasn't going to just up and quit on his team.  As a result, he's giving them enough tell him to go away.

Said from day 1, it wasn’t gonna work.  Also don’t think college works with the NIL and portal now.  A good college QB will be making a 6 figure salary soon.  They won’t deal with his intimidation.  He breed of coaching is Varsity Blues era.  Still can’t forget the fight between him, Fickell and Vrabel a half decade ago.  Appreciate the title Urban but that was his apex.

I know he's got enough money to spend the rest of his life on a barstool. Do you see this as the ultimate end for Urban, or does his ego want to go out a winner and he takes another job?

Yes!  I saw the lack of handshake between them recently too lol.  Fickell saved Meyer that day, you don’t mess with Mike Vrabel.

Yeah... he ranks on that list with Bill Romanowski of guys I'd just say yes sir to lol. Romanowski is far and away #1 though lol.

The reason? Meyer was fired with cause, breaching his contract with a string of incidents both on and off the field — including kicking a former player during practice, being caught in a controversial viral video where he acted inappropriately with a woman at a restaurant/bar in Ohio, and more.

It will be interesting to see if they get out of paying him.
