USC Fires Head Football Coach

I don’t think Meyer would work at SC.  I think the transfer portal as a whole now would create problems for him.  I also don’t think the NFL will workout well.

I see what you are saying John. Urban may or may not go there. He will be persued, though. I could handle him there for 2 or 3 years and then hand it off to someone like Ryan Day, who learned under him.

Oklahoma: "We're going to the SEC" Lincoln Riley: "I'm good, y'all have fun with that though"

Well at least Lincoln Riley was truthful yesterday when he said he was not going to be the next coach at LSU. ??

  • Does Urban Meyer have his bags packed yet?

It’s amazing to me how different Day is.  When Urban endorsed him I felt like he knew it was a sign of current times.  Day leads with love, Meyer leads with intimidation.

I want to clarify for everybody. I mean do it for 2-3 years and then hand it to somebody handpicked, who is ready to be a Head Coach.  Like he did with Ryan Day. I am not saying he will hand it over to Ryan Day.

How was Tressel?  I never heard much about his style.

He played it close to the vest. Sorry couldn't help myself on a Monday morning.

Smart Alec.  Lol

Last name on the list is one that hasn't been mentioned at all but could make sense.

USC insider seems to think they are most interested in or have the best chance with Matt Campbell of Iowa State.

Nobody really knows. Just all speculation. Mike Bohn and Brandon Sosna have kept this as tight lipped as possible. They had their candidates in mind when they finally canned Helton, who should have never had the job.

Mike Tomlin may be the only coach I've ever believed when they said they had no interest in a position.

Great move, tons of money, great weather and doesn’t have to compete with the SEC which he’s proven he cannot.
