Allow me to re direct you back to the info below as further reasoning why Brannen is no longer at UC... On top of the things mentioned in the Cumberland interview from year 1:

 

If he was so hard on the kids, why did Vogt decide to follow him from NKU?  Perhaps those kids mentioned didn't take basketball and their conditioning as serious as they needed to. It says a lot about the UC administration if they believed Brannen had committed fire able offenses and they sat on their tales until after the season.  Not surprising though after seeing how they failed to invest in the mental health of their athletes.

You clearly have no idea what has gone on, continue to ignore the facts I've laid out, or just don't understand the process of what "firing for cause" entails so it's pointless to continue to go back and forth with you.

Per Brannen's contract, UC followed every step that it takes to fire him for cause. That's good enough for me. Stop blaming the UC administration for John's failures while head coach at UC.

Ha, ha....when Brannen wins I want you to be the first person to admit you were wrong.  The UC administration messed this up and he will win.  

On a side note, I can see you don't want to discuss how a so-called high caliber D-I program was so lacking with assisting their athletes dealing with mental issues.  This whole ordeal has been very eye opening and has shown just how amateur the UC administration really is.  They have become a laughing stock, showing just how little they care about the athletes raking in the money for them.

UC has multiple psychologists and therapists (among other resources) on site available to the entire student body, as well as one specifically for the Athletics department.

John is such a control freak, he wanted the athlete to see "his person" instead and didn't consult compliance or the athletic department  before doing this. If he felt the proper resources weren't available, all he had to do was voice his concern and follow the proper channels. He chose not to. That is a breach of his contract and honestly the smallest of the long list that occurred under him. 

This really isn't that hard to understand when you put the bias aside. 

Brannen has filed a lawsuit against UC.

Yeah, if they don't settle, we'll know how bad they really thought JB's issues were. 

 

^^^^ Previous coach making false claims about a player he supposedly "cared about" while the new coach is honoring a walk on's scholarship that was promised by Brannen... Just a little food for thought on the difference in character between the two.

The Brannen lawsuit is leverage. He is playing the legal game. It is what pumps money into lawyers' pockets. Find some cause of action that is at least strong enough to not get thrown out of court, then let the legal fees put the pressure on to settle. I will be surprised if that doesn't lead to a settlement, and if Brannen is smart it will be a settlement that is confidential about its terms. That way if the terms of the settlement are not known, he can save face somewhat even if UC just gives him $100,000 to go away. Less than 10% of civil lawsuits ever go to trial. I expect this case will fall in that 90% of cases that settle before trial, and we will probably never know what the settlement was.

In part of the lawsuit, Brannen and Mars allege there was collusion between the players and the AD with the announcement of the transfers but intentions to come back all along once a new coach was hired.

Considering Tari Eason ended up transferring to LSU, that makes that claim even more insane. 

 

Millionaire coach's lawyer telling a student athlete to get legal counsel in response to the above tweet.... Brannen and his lawyer are absolute clowns.
