Worst performance from the line in tournament by a team that attempted at least 25 free throws since Kansas went 12/30 against Syracuse in the 2003 NCAA Finals.

So... yeah, it was bad.

They were awful.  Just awful from the line.

Are UC fans happy for Mick? Or bitter given the current turmoil in Clifton?

As the song says:  "Don't know what you got 'til it's gone"

They ran off the best 2 coaches they've had in recent history.  Yeah, Cronin didn't get to any Final Fours but he's a heck of a coach.  Tough to get kids to buy into his system but he knows what he's doing.  Hopefully he does well at UCLA.  Good guy and puts everything into his job.  Tells it like it is.  Not many coaches doing that now.

UCLA is the second team from the First Four to ever make the Elite 8. VCU did it, in 2011 I think.

They even made it to the Final Four that year.

Back when Shaka Smart was the hottest thing in hoops.

I'm happy for Mick. He wanted to stay at UC but the former AD didn't want to give him what he needed to be successful. Mick felt unappreciated so went somewhere that was willing to provide him resources he pretty much begged for while at UC.

Good for him.

For those who watched the game, what are your thoughts on the officials overruling the call in the last minute or so when the ball went between the legs of the Alabama player?

My thought is I saw nothing conclusive on the video to over rule the call. Speculating about the player's shorts moving is why you overruled the call? The kid was moving as he dribbled so his shorts are going to move.  What happened to needing clear and conclusive proof to over rule a call?  I am seeing this more and more in instant reply situations, where the officials have now turned instant replay into another judgment call versus seeing clear proof to change a call.

The ball looked like it hit the Alabama player's shorts to me, so I was okay with the call.

What I was curious about, what was the call on the floor?  It seemed like two different officials had two different calls and I'm not sure a call was actually made before the replay.

They said on the broadcast the call was Alabama ball. I did not see the ball touch the shorts. The shorts were moving but the player made a hard step left so the shorts are going to move. No view I saw clearly showed the ball touching the shorts.  There definitely was not anything clear enough to make it conclusive that the ball touched the shorts.

I thought it was pretty obvious that the ball touched his shorts, but I guess that's your whole point. Different people can view something and see different things.

Exactly. I see no conclusive proof. You did.

I saw the shorts moving before the ball ever got close to them because the player was moving.
