I mean if anyone has a right to be cocky towards Ohio State, it’s Dabo. He’s 3-0 against us so I mean he has kind of earned the right to talk down about OSU. Even Saban can’t really do that. I thought it was kind of funny because nobody thinks he actually believes that. I don’t usually buy in to that kind of bulletin board material, but hey I’ll take anything I can get right now. I hope he keeps talking. Haha

To be fair, if our guys weren’t already going in to this game flat out you know what before Dabos comments, they didn’t deserve to win anyways. This game is what they’ve wanted ever since the season ended last year. Everything during the season was to get to this spot, to line up against Clemson again. Now they have their shot.

It’s not any different. I mean Day called out all 3 playoff teams, but the point is the same. Really upset that Demario McCall posted that video.

They’ve given him so many chances too.  He’s lucky to still be on the team before this incident.

He ranked us the second best team in Ohio... that’s some throw the hands material.

I really think Swinney was adamant about OSU playing 6 games while many teams played 10 or 11. His reaction was a lower ranking. I think you would find other coaches also ranked them out of the top four. OSU is a very good team and a great program, probably a top 4.....my problem is the way the conference kept changing the rules to facilitate them making the playoffs. It's all about the $$$$s.

There shouldn't even be a coaches poll, in my opinion.  I mean honestly, how many games are they actually seeing?  During the regular season, there's no way a coach is able to watch that much football...other than perhaps his future opponents for scouting.  Most probably pawn that duty off to someone on their staff.

I have always felt this way about the coaches poll. I feel like a lot of people put more stock into the coaches poll than the AP and I don't understand why. Just like you pointed out, no way they are watching as much football as even the average college football viewer, the job simply doesn't allow the time.

The coaches poll, aka the Sports and Information Directors Poll. Obviously this time Dabo went out of his way to take it upon himself to rank OSU 11th, but 99% of the time the coaches don’t even look at the forms to fill them out. 

I’m starting to get a little nervous about this game as a Clemson fan. It feels like we are a little too confident and now our play caller is out. I rewatched the Clemson OSU game from last year and it was a different Fields. If that old Fields comes out, with their running game.... could be trouble. It might be a real barn burner. Haven’t been this excited for a football game for a while, glad it’s the late game tomorrow.

I agree with you.  Fields is playing to be the #2 pick and he’s personally been told it.  I just wish the OSU pass defense was a little better.  Have to keep Lawrence off the field.  As an OSU fan, Sermon just going off in the B1G game, all of a sudden gives us an extra player, extra option.  Could make things more interesting in the 11th hour.

Harry Miller starting guard for OSU is out tonight.  OSU due to different conference rules is still testing, Clemson hasn’t had to test since Wednesday.  Talk about a weird set of rules.

Master Teague , Zach Harrison, & Tyler Friday are also out tonight.  The Harrison/Friday loss is tough.  Expect my man freshman Miyan Williams from Cincy Winton Woods to backup Trey Sermon.
