Agree to disagree.  If it was a defenseless player coming across the middle, maybe, but not a runner coming straight up the middle and trying to make a spin move at the point of contact.

Agree to disagree it is, he lead with his helmet for a yard and a half and he’s a repeat offender.  That’s his game.  My last comments on it, I’ll move on.

Part of the reason for the rule is to protect the defensive players, by discouraging that type of tackling.  I'm ok with it in terms of guys having to learn to play within the rules(even if I think they're soft).  A targeting call doesn't mean it's a dirty play though.

You honestly believe that tackling a 6'3" 225 guy coming at you full tilt that you can react quickly enough to say I'm going to take a cheap shot at this guy? OSU is playing really well. Unfortunate for both players. The defender knows he'll be ejected. OSU using TE. Exploiting Turner being out. Great game plan and Sermon is a beast....and I'm a Clemson fan.

He had plenty of time to decide on the tackle it was open field for 10 yards 1 on 1, he wanted Fields out of the game and he got played.

First half was nothing short of brilliance by Day, coming off his worst called game vs. Northwestern, I’m guessing he was hiding all of this?  30 more minutes to go however.

So far Notre Dame gave us a closer game at half against Bama, than Clemson is right now.
