After the way they played Saturday, I don't feel they do. Just my opinion. I honestly expected them to lose, hard to beat good team like that twice, especially with Lawrence back. But I did expect them to show up, they didn't. I think Texas A&M deserves it over them.

Texas A&M beat one team in the top 25. Notre Dame has two.  Texas A&M also has less wins against teams with a winning record when compared to Notre Dames.

If Texas A&M had to play Bama again last week, like Notre Dame had to play Clemson again. Chances are Texas A&M would have had another beat down lost. A&M shouldn’t be rewarded for getting to play a horrible Tennessee team, that kept the game close for awhile. While Notre Dame had to play Clemson again. There really is nothing that A&M did this year, that shows they were more deserving as you say.

That’s possible. I still think ND will be able to score some points though. Nobody will be able to stop the Bama offense though. Also come on RTS, your Irish are the deserving 4th team in the playoff.

Agreed. Notre Dame will be able to move the ball, and probably control the clock. The big thing will be them needing to score touchdowns at the end of those long drives and not settle for field goals. They do that, and possibly find away to create a turnover or two, then it may get interesting at the end.

After seeing the Bengals beat the Steelers this week. I now think anything is possible, because I didn’t think there was anyway of that happening. Sports is crazy, and people giving Notre Dame no shot, sets them up to possibly pull that big upset that no one sees coming. Which does happen in sports and the Bengals/Steelers game was another example of that.

Only one #1 seed has won the title, 2019/20 LSU.

Okay, but explain to me how ND is deserving of that spot with the performance they had. What do you think Bama will do to them? They just don't look ready to grind it out at this point with any of the 3 other teams in it. If that last Clemson game was at least close, I'd think otherwise. As I said in another post, I hope I'm wrong.

At the end of the day Texas A&M had an even worse lost to a playoff team than Notre Dame. So add that to everything else I said in that post, there really is nothing they have done to show they are more deserving.

I would say really no one deserves the spot.

ND - played like garbage Saturday

A&M - way too close with UT, only quality win was an early Florida

UC - a playoff worthy team would beat Tulsa by 3 touch downs (or more), not 3 points.

Florida - 3 losses, enough said.

So based on that,  ND gets in.

Alabama 42-24.

Bama will give up some points. ND won’t slow down Bama. 48-20

Let’s go Michael!

That didn't take long Kelly tries to be aggressive and wins the flip and takes the ball and has to punt it and Bama goes 79 yards on 7 plays and makes it look easy and scores in just 2:36 to go up 7-0.

At this pace it will be a running clock.

Bama 14 ND 0

Harris made a sportscenter hurdle  running play. 14-0 Bama the rout is on.

ND has to atleast get a good long drive to rebuild some confidence or Bama will scorch the Irish
