Yeah that’s bad. I mean it sounds cliche, but it comes down to game experience.It’s easy to tell players, but game experience affirms what is being said. And Manual has only played 4 games and only one of those games wasn’t a blow out.

I remember that game well! I was a young 7th grader in the stands and my brother was a senior on the team. Great finish.

Question on down field blocks, is the blindside block completely illegal now? Even if your head in front, don’t lead with head or leave your feet.. etc?

So it’s not illegal you just have to initiate contact with your hands 

I will have to watch film on Xs td that was called back to see if blocker lead with hands. I just know it was great block few years ago...

I think that fumble that led to Manual TD was suspect. Looked like was on back when ball was taken away.

It looks like the correct call from the officials; my issue is the official on the opposite side of the field makes the call. Again, it looks to be the right call but there were two other officials in the area of the ball carrier who didn't throw their flags. 

Congratulations to X on a rugged early playoff win. Not many teams had to grind past a top five team just to get through the second round. It doesn't get any easier from here either.

I love seeing scores like this sprinkled amidst all the 41-36 and 35-28 scores. This looks like it was lifted from the Courier Journal score round-up in 1983.
