Walmart will be closed on Thanksgiving

The company announced that they will be closed on Thanksgiving this year, and that they will be handing out a third round of bonuses to their employees. 

I say good for them.

What are your thoughts?

And while they are at it,  they might want to open a few more checkout lanes.

While this is a positive step, San wouldn't believe what he would see at a Wal-Mart today.

I expect a lot of online specials. Shifting to online and taking pressure off the employees and staffing needs.

Even without COVID-19, I applaud this.  I quit doing Black Friday at all when they moved it into Thanksgiving.

I've noticed that WalMart's online pricing of items is now among the highest.

From what I read Walmart has stepped up their online game and done well during the pandemic. Good to see they are reinvesting it into their employees.

I've never participated in Black Friday and definitely not on Thanksgiving. This is a good move for their employees sake.

I've just never been enticed by a deal enough to fight with people in Wal-Mart over. Plus, I don't think most Black Friday deals are as good as we think they are if you're really paying attention to prices throughout the year.

I think I saved about $75 by getting the TV I ended up buying.  Maybe it was $50.  Either way, it wasn't worth it.  

I think most people just go for the novelty of it anyway.  It's less about big deals and more about just getting out and doing it.  And of course, posting it all on Facebook. LOL
