Is coronavirus testing really important for opening America?

Do you think this was an act of terrorism? I’ve seen others allude to that. I’ve seen others question it. The thing that sticks out to me is that if this was produced to be used as a weapon then its use is irresponsible. When bioterrorism weapons aren’t used aren’t they made for specific use against specific people? Infecting the whole planet benefits no one and at the end of the day the death rate is still considerably low when looking at the numbers.

Not saying this isn’t biowarfare. Just adding to the conversation.

I don't think it has to be terrorism perse, but definitely a large scale failure and cover up by the Chinese. That could be said whether it originated in a wet market in Wuhan or a bio lab. I'm thinking more along the lines of Russia and Chernobyl, where in the Chinese as of right now seemed to have likely underestimated this thing, tried to keep it quiet and then didn't do enough to help other countries prepare for it.

As of right now, with how easy it is to share information it just seems like China really didn't want the egg on the face that Corona Virus was going to bring.

We’re gonna have mass antibodies against it well before a vaccine.

For what that is worth. We don't know what immunity the antibodies provide nor how long they protect from re-infection. There are already people that have become infected a second time.

Different strokes for different folks, but finding a needle in a haystack might be easier than solving this deal.

Technically, we don’t know either way. The stuff reported abroad was inconclusive. Most viruses produce antibodies, we will need more data to conclude.

For what it's worth, they started drive-through testing in Somerset today.

YEARS AGO I was at a meeting in Frankfort. At some point the notion of bioterrorism came up. The speaker drew a rough outline of the US and added a few dots. New York, DC, Chicago, LA, Houston, a few others. Then postulated that a most effective way to bring down the country was to load down the modern-day equivalent of suicide bombers with a highly infectious agent (at the time, anthrax was in the news) and put them on planes bound for those cities.

An extraordinarily simple concept.

I hear ya Pops! Our law enforcement training routinely warned us about all kinds of doom and gloom scenarios that relatively speaking would be easy for terrorists to accomplish.
